Learning with iPads-  Feb. 12, 2018

Join us for a day of exploration and discover how iPads can empower both teachers and students to foster creativity, collaboration and curiosity. This day of learning is focused on those thinking of adopting iPads or those early in the implementation of iPads.  There will be opportunities to be hands-on with iPads in workshops, to have a Q and A with Schools that have implemented iPads in India and abroad, and to network with students, teachers, peers and leaders.
Please bring an iPad to this workshop, but if you do not have one, we will have some for you to borrow for this day.

Session 1: 3D design-Printing the future

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.
3D printing is a new tool in education.  However, many schools do not understand how 3D design and printing can work in a school.  The session will accomplish three goals.  First, show you where 3D printing is headed and the uses in a school.  Second, how to work with TinkerCad, a freeware 3D design program and 3D scanners and scanning programs. Finally, actually create and print using the printer.  You will need to bring a laptop to use in the session.  You can use an iPad to design, but designing is difficult with an iPad.
This session is for k-12 teachers as well as administrators.  Please create an account on Tinkercad.com.  We will specifically be using this website for the class.
